Winton North Solar Farm Achieves Financial Close and Expands Amazon Offtake to Include Battery Storage

30 June 2026

Australian clean energy developer Dawn Renewables is pleased to highlight a landmark milestone for the Winton North Solar Farm, which has officially achieved Financial Close alongside a major expansion of its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Amazon.

Financing has been secured from premier international lenders Commerzbank AG, Singapore Branch and Société Générale, backing the 300-hectare project near the Victorian and New South Wales border.

In tandem with financial close, the project’s offtake agreement with Amazon has expanded to incorporate the Winton North Battery Energy Storage System. This enhancement enables stored clean solar power to be dispatched during peak hours, reinforcing network reliability whilst supporting Amazon’s clean energy goals.

Having initiated early-stage development, environmental planning and grid connection arrangements for the Winton North site, Dawn Renewables celebrates this key financial milestone as construction progresses, continuing to drive regional investment and local employment.
